Despite the difficulty of this piece (for me, at least), I think we made good progress. We didn’t review the maeuta, but we did go over the tegoto and ran through the atouta for the first time. I don’t prefer going in completely cold for any new part, but time constraints this past week allowed me to only focus on what we learned in the previous lesson. Despite that, it went surprisingly well. As expected, the tegoto was still the hardest part of the song, and the only thing that can really help here is slow, frequent repetition to build muscle memory. That being said, the challenge of this piece is fun, and I am in love with the melody the of vocal line!
